Privacy policy
What we collect when you enquire, what we do with it, and what we do not do with it.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected by Max Demolition and Excavation through this website, by telephone, by email and in the course of quoting and carrying out work. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you make an enquiry we collect the information you give us: your name, telephone number, email address, the suburb or address of the site, and whatever you tell us about the work. If we visit the site we may take photographs of the site and its access for the purpose of quoting and planning the work.
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To arrange and carry out the work, including arranging licensed asbestos removalists, independent assessors, disposal facilities and cartage
- To meet our record keeping obligations, including waste disposal documentation and work health and safety records
- To contact you about the job while it is in progress
Who we share it with
We share what is necessary with the people who have to have it to do the work: licensed asbestos removalists and assessors, laboratories, disposal facilities, subcontractors and plant operators, and where required our insurer or a regulator. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Site photographs
We photograph our own work. We do not publish a photograph in a way that identifies a property, an address or a client without the owner's permission.
How long we keep it
Enquiry information is kept while it is useful for quoting and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records we are required to keep, such as waste disposal documentation and safety records, are kept for the period the relevant law requires.
Cookies and analytics
This website may use cookies and analytics to understand how pages are used. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us by telephone on 0456 220 552 or by email at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter you can refer it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Who to contact
Privacy enquiries can be made to Max Demolition and Excavation by telephone on 0456 220 552 or by email at [email protected], and will be directed to the person responsible for handling them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
