Bonded Asbestos Removal
Fibro, eaves and roof sheeting, removed whole wherever it can be
Removal of non-friable asbestos: fibro cladding and linings, eaves and soffits, corrugated roof sheeting, wet area linings, vinyl floor tiles and fencing. The common form, and the one most Sydney properties built before 1990 carry somewhere. Carried out by licensed asbestos removalists in line with SafeWork NSW requirements.

Before anything starts
Six things have to be settled first, and not all of them are ours
Most jobs that run late run late on this list rather than on the work itself. Each line says who owns it.
- 01
Survey result in hand
Who Max, through an accredited laboratory
What it is, where it is and what condition it is in. Removal is quoted from this, not from a look.
- 02
Licence class confirmed
Who Max, with the removalist
Bonded material has its own licence class. If the survey finds friable material as well, the scope changes and so does the contractor.
- 03
Notification where required
Who Max
Licensed removal work is notifiable, with a notice period set by the regulation.
- 04
Occupants and neighbours informed
Who You, with our help
Exclusion zones, signage and the days the work happens. Worth doing early rather than on the morning.
- 05
Power and access arranged
Who You
Removalists need power and a clear path for wrapped material to leave the property intact.
- 06
Disposal booked
Who Max
A facility licensed to receive asbestos, booked before the material comes off rather than after.
Scope
What the quote does and does not cover
Stated side by side so there is nothing to discover later. Anything in the right hand column can be added, it is simply priced separately.

The detail
What makes a bonded job straightforward or not
- Condition. Intact sheeting comes off whole. Weathered, cracked or previously damaged material has to be treated far more carefully and sometimes as friable.
- Where it is. Eaves and a roof are a different job from wet area linings behind tiles or vinyl under three later floor coverings.
- Whether it is fixed or fastened. Sheeting screwed to battens comes off differently from sheeting glued to a substrate.
- Access. Material has to leave wrapped and intact. A rear roof with no side access changes the method and the hours.
- Whether the building is occupied. More separation, more signage and usually more hours.
- How much there is. The survey gives a quantity, and the quantity is what the disposal cost is built from.
What we need to quote it
- The address
- So we can look at access and what is around it
- Photographs
- One from the street and one of the work itself
- Any reports you hold
- Hazardous materials, structural, survey or levels
- Your dates
- What has to be finished by when, and what is waiting on it
We attend the site before quoting anything substantial.
Found damaged material instead?
Weathered, broken or previously disturbed sheeting may be treated as friable, which is a different licence class with an enclosure and air monitoring throughout.
