Licensed demolisher AD214737

About

A licensed demolisher that also runs the dig and the cartage

Max Demolition and Excavation works across the corridor from Wollongong through Greater Sydney and the Central Coast to Newcastle, for builders, developers and homeowners. Demolition, asbestos management, site clearing, excavation and haulage are held on one contract rather than split across four contractors.

The licence, and what it covers

Licence holder
Max Demolition And Excavation Pty Ltd
Licence
Demolition Licence AD214737
Issued under
SafeWork NSW, asbestos and demolition licensing
Status
Current, expiring 23 March 2031
ACN

This is a demolition licence. It is not an asbestos removal licence, and we do not present it as one. Asbestos removal on our sites is carried out by licensed asbestos removalists and the clearance certificate is issued independently.

Our equipment

The machines that decide what is possible on your block

What is available changes what a job costs more than almost anything else, which is why it is set out here rather than left to the quote.

Excavators

All sizes
Mini excavators for tight access and backyard work, through to large excavators for bulk excavation, rock and major demolition.
Zero tail swing
For tight residential blocks and sites close to neighbouring buildings, where a conventional counterweight would strike the boundary.

Attachments

Rock hammers
For sandstone and anything the bucket will not move.
Demolition grapples
Taking a structure apart in a controlled order rather than pushing it over, which is what makes sorting and recycling possible.
Rippers
Often the right tool in shale, where the bedding does the work for you.
Buckets
Including the sizes that match the machine rather than the other way round.

Trucks

Truck and dogs
High volume spoil removal and material delivery.
Bogie tippers
For tighter sites and smaller loads, where a truck and dog cannot turn or cannot legally stand.
10 wheeler tippers
For demolition waste and sites a truck and dog cannot access.

Trailers

Plant trailers
For moving our machines between sites, which is what keeps a multi stage job on one mobilisation rather than waiting on a float.

Why the plant list matters

Three things it changes on your job

The machine is sized to the block, not to the yard

A job that only takes a mini excavator takes longer and costs more per cubic metre. Knowing that before the quote is what stops it becoming a variation.

Demolition and excavation on one mobilisation

Where both are in scope, the plant comes once. On a tight block that is usually the single biggest saving available on the whole job.

The cartage is sized to the street

A truck and dog is cheaper per cubic metre and useless if it cannot turn. Matching the truck to the frontage is part of scoping the job, not an afterthought.

Who we work with

Three different briefs, one contractor

The way a job is run changes with who is paying for it.

  • Builders. The block cleared, dug and handed over on the date you were given, because the frame is already booked.
  • Developers. Unit blocks, walk ups, shops and service stations, where asbestos, underground tanks and contaminated soil all have to be dealt with before a basement can start.
  • Homeowners. Knockdown rebuilds, garages, sheds and pools. Usually the first time you have done this, so we explain what happens, in what order, and what the site will look like when we leave.

Wollongong through to Newcastle

Western Sydney and the Northern Beaches are where we are most often, and the corridor runs from the Illawarra through Greater Sydney and the Central Coast to the Hunter.
