Asbestos Disposal
Wrapped, labelled and tracked to a facility licensed to take it
Safe wrapping, transport and disposal of asbestos material at licensed facilities, with the dockets handed back to you. Asbestos does not go to a general waste facility, it is not recycled, and the paperwork that proves where it went is part of the job rather than an afterthought.

Before anything starts
Six things have to be settled first, and not all of them are ours
Most jobs that run late run late on this list rather than on the work itself. Each line says who owns it.

Scope
What the quote does and does not cover
Stated side by side so there is nothing to discover later. Anything in the right hand column can be added, it is simply priced separately.
Included as standard
| Item | What that means |
|---|---|
| Wrapping and labelling | Double wrapped and labelled by the licensed removalist |
| Loading | Without breaking the material up further |
| Covered transport | To the licensed facility |
| Disposal fees | At the facility, as a stated line |
| Dockets | Collected and handed to you |
| Coordination | Sequenced against the removal so material does not sit on site |
Quoted separately
| Item | Why it is separate |
|---|---|
| Removal | A separate scope, carried out by licensed asbestos removalists |
| Disposal of material we did not remove | Unless it has been wrapped and labelled to the requirement |
| General demolition waste | A different stream with a different destination |
| Contaminated soil | Priced on its classification and tonnage |
| Storage on site | Material leaves rather than accumulating |
| Disposal at a facility that will not accept the classification | The facility is chosen by what the material is |
The detail
Why disposal is a bigger line than people expect
- It is priced at the gate. Licensed facilities charge by weight or volume for asbestos, at rates well above general waste.
- There are fewer facilities. Which means the cartage distance is often longer, and the distance is part of the price.
- It cannot be mixed. Asbestos material travels on its own. Putting it in with general waste contaminates the whole load and the whole load is then charged as asbestos.
- It cannot be compacted. Breaking it down to fit more in is exactly the thing the wrapping exists to prevent.
- Soil is heavy. Asbestos contaminated soil generates tonnage quickly, which is why it is priced separately from sheeting.
- The dockets are part of the deliverable. They are what proves the material went where it was supposed to, and they cannot be reconstructed later.
What we need to quote it
- The address
- So we can look at access and what is around it
- Photographs
- One from the street and one of the work itself
- Any reports you hold
- Hazardous materials, structural, survey or levels
- Your dates
- What has to be finished by when, and what is waiting on it
We attend the site before quoting anything substantial.
Keep the dockets with the clearance certificate
Together they are the record that the property was handled properly. A future purchaser, certifier or lender may ask for both.
